Through their collaboration with the Durban, South Africa-based label MK2R, Smadj and Dazz-B musiQ (Obakeng Kekana) have forged a rich and bold musical dialogue. This partnership, born from a desire for exchange and experimentation, has given rise to a series of creations blending Amapiano pulses, the colors of Oriental music, and contemporary electronic textures.

After a notable first release featuring collaborative remixes of Madala Kunene, an emblematic figure of the South African scene, the duo continues their exploration by revisiting the world of Busi Mhlongo. This approach illustrates their shared desire to create a dialogue between traditions and the sounds of the future. Today, Smadj and Dazz-B musiQ wish to extend this adventure on stage, through an immersive live set highlighting their respective specificities: the deep and hypnotic grooves of Amapiano meet the chiseled melodies and acoustic timbres of Oriental music, in a vibrant and sensitive electronic space.
