Smatch is an immersive electronic odyssey blending expressive live performance, narrative visuals, and local collaborations, born from two years of musical, technological, and stage exploration.

“Two years ago, I began developing an in-depth project around a solo live electronic performance. The idea was to create a performance where the music would be expressive, vibrant, and spectacular, using a set of lightweight yet sophisticated tools: miniature MPE controllers, Orba, Joué, LUMI, Launchpad Mini… This setup allowed me to develop a highly tactile electronic style, where every gesture becomes a nuance, a breath, or a rhythmic impulse.”

“To accompany this sonic material, I created an initial series of AI-generated videos, guided by a masked character—inspired by a Chinese mask—wandering through natural and urban environments. This character, whom I named QI QI GUAI GUAI, served as a visual thread, opening a door to a dreamlike and narrative universe.”
